Product Description
Type Large vintage lever filling fountain pen.
Product Name Endura Symetrik in the Oversized version.
Manufacturer and Year Conklin, Toledo Ohio -- circa 1930s.
Length 5-9/16"
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Black and pearl with gold plated trim. Much of the pen has discolored so that the cream "pearl" color is more like an orange-brown.
Nib SEMI FLEXIBLE BROAD gold "Endura" nib is very large and smooth with excellent tipping. Very wet. It has a nice amount of flex to it, with easy line variation from a small broad to a nice large double broad without much pressure at all, and even larger with some pressure. See our writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition, aside from the discoloration mentioned above. Only light scratches on the cap and barrel, a little deeper on the end of the barrel from the cap being posted, and there are a few small spots of plating wear on the edges of the lever and the tip of the clip. No cracks in the cap lip. There is one tiny under-the-surface crack on the cap, which does not touch anything and is hardly visible. No chips, dings, dents, or personalization, and it has a lovely clean look to it. The imprint is just a little worn, but still readable. The pen is fully restored and working well.
