Product Description
Type Vintage fountain pen in lovely condition
Product Name "Master Special Pen"
Manufacturer and Year Bankers Pen Company of New York, 1915
Length 5-1/2"
Filling System Slide filler - you push the lever-looking thing-y forward and it compresses the sac. Unique patented filling system, just another way to compress a rubber sac.
Color Black chased hard rubbber. Nickel (?) trim.
Nib Gold 14k "Master" nib is very worn and lacks tipping material. Extremely good flex, but it railroads easily and you have to write slowly. In order to restore this nib to its original condition, you'd need to have it re-tipped and re-set. This is not a service we are able to do here at Peyton Street Pens, but we can tell you who to send it to if you are tempted to take on the project.
Condition Excellent condition with hardly any hand wear and no browning. The chasing on the barrel and cap is crisp and deep. It has been restored with a new sac and the filling system is working well. (We'll guarantee it for a year.)
