Thermometer System Mercury thermometer. We confirmed that the mercury line moves but not whether or not it still measures accurately. Mercury thermometers shouldn't require recalibration but sometimes the mercury does shift in the glass tube and stop behaving properly.
Color The thermometer is a standard transparent glass piece with markings to read temperatures and a metal tip. The holder is black hard rubber with three gold filled cap bands and a clip. The barrel of the holder has a metal tube that extends and retracts. It grips the thermometer well.
Condition Excellent condition. There is consistent discoloration of the hard rubber. The original black is still present beneath the cap. The cap bands have some brassing. It is most prevalent on the band near the cap lip. THere is some additional wear on the clip. The two sets of barrel imprints are very clear. No cracks on personalization.
