Color Blue and Black Ebonite in a marbled pattern. The trim is steel plated and the end caps are black.
Nib XXF - the pen was originally equipped with a two tone fine 18k 750 Nib marked Bexley. Likely made in Germany by Bock and then finished by Bexley in the USA, and then was ground into an extra-extra-fine with a slight Waverley upturn. Very smooth. We've included the writing sample that Richard Binder (the nibmeister) included after his work on the nib.
Condition Near Mint Condition. There is some light scratching around the cap, where it narrows around the upper half of the clip, so we suspect that this is related to the original manufacturing process. The trim all looks great, with minimal polishing marks or scratching. We know the the pen has been dipped (see: writing sample), but there are not really any marks or signs of wear.
This is a Limited Edition and Numbered Pen. It is #53/116. A Bexley box is included with papers. The original purchase price would have been $395.
