We are having our annual open house here at Peyton Street Pens on Sunday, July 28. We will welcome guests starting around 11am and things tend to wind down around 3pm.

We hope to lure folks from the "San Francisco Pen Posse" and when the posse assembles, there is an astounding level of expertise on hand! You'll find serious collectors and casual users, so if you need a pen identified or valued, you couldn't find a better opportunity. While we don't do repairs (except on our own pens), we can help diagnose problems and point you in the right direction. We have lots of converters and can probably figure out what you need. And Nivardo can usually be talked into doing a nib adjustment ?

We are not a brick and mortar retail store, but we do enjoy hosting a get-together here in Santa Cruz. In addition to the usual food and drink (and ice cream!), we will have bargain bins of pens and give-aways. It's going to be a pen-related flea market this year, with several tables of boxed pens, pen parts, vintage pens to be restored, pen ephemera.

This year we have a huge quantity of inks at rock bottom prices -- Iroshizuku for $10, Sailor/Platinum/Lamy/Noodlers for $5. We also have a lot of notebooks and paper -- Midori/Travelers, Rhodia, Moleskine.

There are always plenty of pens to try, and you'll get a sneak preview of the pens we are preparing for the pen show in August. Lots of new colors and materials from Ranga, and some gorgeous Lotus pens.
