Product Description
Type Vintage fountain pen
Product Name Unknown ... there's an "ER" on the clip which doesn't look like a personalization. The only identification we have is the nib, so it could be that someone else made the pen itself.
Manufacturer and Year Byers & Hayes, New York, 1920s-30s.
Length 5-7.16"
Filling System Lever filling system, restored with a new sac.
Color Jade green cap and barrel with gold filled trim including two narrow cap bands and a clip. The section is black. This is a large flat top styled pen.
Nib MEDIUM B&H #4 nib. It is not marked 14k, but we're confident it is a gold nib. It writes smoothly and is smoothest when held at a lower angle.
Condition Excellent condition. The pen is discolored and the cap is a lot more vibrant green than the barrel. The barrel is more yellow in tone. The lower cap band is a little loose and both cap bands have plating wear on the edges. The clip and lever have some wear as well. The end of the barrel and the top of the cap have bite marks. No cracks or personalization.
