Product Description
Type Fountain pen
Product Name Ecridor Retro
Manufacturer and Year Caran d'Ache, Switzerland -- Relatively recent but is not the current version of this model.
Length 5-5/16"
Filling System Takes international style cartridges and converters. A working Caran d'Ache piston converter is installed. Please be aware that since the pen has a narrow barrel some converters fit better than others..
Color Guilloche patterned hexagonal faceted cap and barrel. It's palladium plated and meant to echo the design on the 1947 mechanical pencils. The clip states the maker and maker location and the base of the clip says, "Clip Metal."
Nib Fine rhodium plated steel nib, very smooth. It's a short nib with lots of tipping material. The Caran d'Ache imprint is a bit faded.
Condition Near mint condition. No dents, dings, or plating wear. There are some light wear on the edges of the barrel, and a few light scratches on the section. The imprint is very clear. It still looks very silver colored in hand instead of the golden tinge in the photographs. The surface looks good as does the red logo on the cap. Working very well and in the appropriate box with clip tag. The box looks nice and shiny as well.
