Filling System Lever filler on the pen, works well, we just restored it with a new sac. Guaranteed for a year from the date of purchase. The pencil takes 1.1mm leads andworks via the twisting mechanism and both extends and retracts. The mechanism is very stiff, but retracts and extends all the way.
Color Shiny deep blue with gold veins and pieces. The gold has sparkle. Double cap bands on both.
Nib Gold nib is marked "Carter INX Pen 14K" and seems to be have a fine tip. Firm, no flex.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a small, nicely designed fountain pen and mechanical pencil set that is in a beautiful and shiny deep blue color with sparkly gold veins and pieces. The fountain pen cap and barrel have moderate scratching with a few long marks. The barrel has marks caused by the cap lip. The cap band has heavy scratches and some plating wear especially along the edges. The clip has plating wear along the lower edge and light scratching. The gold top piece has plating wear, a little pitting along the upper edge and one small deep scratch along the top edge. The mechanical pencil has moderate scratching all over. The cone and cap top have quite a lot of plating wear. The clip has plating wear along the bottom edge. The cap bands have moderate scratching but no plating wear. Both the body of the pencil and the barrel of the pen are personalized, "Dorothy Rideout". There are no imprints.
