Product Description
Type Fountain pen
Product Name Kingsize, Ebonite & Demonstrator
Manufacturer and Year Conid, Belgium -- Current Production.
Length 5-5/8". It feels very much like an oversize pen.
Filling System "Bulk Filler" piston system. The system works by turning the blind cap counter-clockwise, pulling the rod back and then locking it into the top. We recommend maintaining the unthreading motion as the the rod is pulled. It allows for one fluid movement. After the rod is locked into place, it acts just like a plunger system where you push and pull the seal to drawn in ink. After you've sufficiently drawn in ink, while the rod is pulled out, you turn the blind cap clockwise until it disengages. At that point you can push the rod back into the barrel with only a few drops of ink coming out in the process. Much like the Visconti power filler system there is a dual reservoir set up and the blue viewing window shows what ink is readily available without turning the piston knob to refill it.
Color This is one of the demonstrator versions with a clear acrylic barrel for the storage reservoir and a blue acrylic viewing window for the reservoir in use. The cap, section, and blind cap are black ebonite. The trim is titanium.
Nib FINE 14k gold nib with rhodium plating. The nib is very smooth and springy. There is no yellow gold visible. It is a Bock #6 nib and can be swapped with other #6 nibs from Bock and JoWo by using the same housing.
Condition Near mint condition. The pen really looks new with no trim wear and low handwear. No cracks, chips, scratches, or dents.
Please note that if the barrel gets stained from ink, this pen cannot be returned for a refund. Ordinarily our return policy is quite liberal, but with all the crazy inks on the market these days and the damage we have seen done to demonstrators by those inks, we need to modify the policy somewhat for this pen.
