Product Description
Type Crescent filling vintage fountain pen in great condition with a fully flexible nib.
Product Name Crescent #2 Ring Top, we couldn't find an imprint on the pen.
Manufacturer and Year Conklin, made in USA -- 1920s.
Length 4-3/8".
Filling System Crescent filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Black hard rubber with gold filled filigree and crescent. It is a 4-Leaf/Petal Filigree pattern with cutouts.
Nib FLEXIBLE FINE Conklin #2 Toledo gold nib. The tines spread very easily for strong line variation, we consider it almost full flex with line variation from extra fine to broad. See our writing sample below.
Condition Excellent + condition. The filigree looks great, the engraved leaf veining and detail is quite strong. There is some plating wear on the top edge of the crescent locking mechanism. The patterning has held up well and the pen looks very good in hand. It's fully restored and working well. The cartouche is engraved with initials - either "RLV" or "RW" (see photo).
