Manufacturer and Year Conklin, Toledo Ohio -- 1920s.
Length Just under 4-5/16" not including the ring-top hardware.
Filling System Crescent filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Black chased hard rubber with a gold plated crescent and gold plated ring-top hardware.
Nib FLEXIBLE FINE Conklin #2 Toledo nib is 14k and has seen a bit of use but has some good tipping material remaining. We consider this nib almost fully flexible, with nice easy line variation from fine to double broad with only light pressure. See writing sample below.
Condition Excellent + condition. No cracks, dings or dents, or personalization. The crescent piece looks great, with no brassing or plating wear. The color is consistently dark on both cap and barrel, with no visible fading. The crescent lock-piece looks great. The imprints are quite strong. The ringtop hardware has brassing, but is securely attached and working well. We've fully restored the pen and it's working well.
