Product Description
Type Crescent filling vintage fountain pen, restored and working well.
Product Name Crescent 2NL.
Manufacturer and Year Conklin, made in Toledo, Ohio -- 1920s.
Length Just over 5-1/4 inches.
Filling System Crescent filler. We've restored it with a new sac and its working very well.
Color Black chased hard rubber with a gold plated crescent, an accommodation clip, and no cap band.
Nib FLEXIBLE FINE Conklin Toledo #2 nib is smooth with nice tipping material. It's close to what we would call fully flexible, with easy line variation from extra fine to broad under hardly any pressure, and to double broad with just a little more. See our writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition except for the fact that the original clip was missing and replaced by an accomodation clip. There's small cracking on the cap (visible in the first photo below, just above the clip), which was probably caused by rough handling of the original now mising clip. Otherwise there's no dings or dents, chips, or personalization. There's a little brassing on the edge of the crescent. The imprints are worn, but readable. We've restored the pen and it's working very well.
