Product Name Crescent #3. This is the 4-Leaf Filigree pattern.
Manufacturer and Year Conklin, made in Toledo, Ohio -- 1920s.
Length Just over 5-1/16 inches.
Filling System Crescent filler. We've restored it with a new sac and its working very well.
Color Black hard rubber (BHR) with a gold filled overlay. The overlay has large four petaled flowers and swirls.
Nib FINE ITALIC Conklin Toledo #3 nib is smooth with nice tipping material. It is springy and offers subtle line variation. Please see the writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition. The patterns are well defined and there is very little plating wear. The hard rubber is still a nice dark black. There is some plating wear on the crescent, clip, and on parts of the overlay. There are also small marks and scratches throughout. The locking mechanism only locks in one direction. We've restored the pen and it's working very well.
