Product Name Crescent #3. This is the 4-Leaf Filigree pattern. No clip.
Manufacturer and Year Conklin, made in Toledo, Ohio -- 1920s.
Length 5-1/8" long.
Filling System Crescent filler. We've restored it with a new sac and its working very well.
Color Black hard rubber (BHR) with a 1/5 14k rose gold filled overlay. The overlay has large four petaled flowers and swirls.
Nib FINE FLEXIBLE Conklin Toledo #3 nib is smooth with nice tipping material. It has modest flexibility, giving line widths from fine to broad. Please see the writing sample below.
Condition Excellent + condition. The patterns are well defined and there is very little plating wear. The hard rubber is still a nice dark black. The crescent has a bit of brassing on the apex, but is otherwise in great shape. There are also small marks and scratches throughout. The locking mechanism is working very well. We've restored the pen and it's working very well. The cap is personalized with the initials "AEJ" in script.
