Product Description
Type Vintage desk pen and ashtray base.
Product Name Endura.
Manufacturer and Year Conklin, Toledo Ohio -- circa 1920s. This base is similar to ones seen in the 1928-29 catalog.
Length Pen is 7-3/4" long. Desk base is 4" in diameter, and about 3/4" tall.
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Marbled pattern of black and bronze with gold plated trim.
Nib FINE gold Endura nib is smooth with nice tipping. Fairly firm.
Condition Excellent + condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. Barrel and tail fin are smooth, though the black part of the tail has a bit of scratching where it joins to the front half of the pen. The gold band and lever look excellent, with no brassing or plating wear. The socket looks good, nice and smooth, with just some touches of brassing on the trim. The base itself is in good shape, no cracks or chips, and the felt on the bottom is largely intact. The imprints are clear.
