Product Description
Type Lever filling vintage fountain pen, fully restored.
Product Name Endura (the imprint is clear on the barrel).
Manufacturer and Year Conklin, Toledo Ohio – this line of pens began circa 1924.
Length Just over 5-5/16" (oversized model).
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well. We guarantee the filling system for a year from the date of purchase.
Color Black with gold-plated trim. There are some grooves around the barrel that are painted red and that are mostly intact.
Nib Medium 14k nib marked Conklin Endura. It is semi-flexible, and gives line variation from fine to broad. Endura nibs are usually very firm, so this is rather uncommon. See writing sample below.
Condition Excellent + condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is an over-sized, shiny, black pen with well-defined grooves at four places (two on the barrel and two on the cap). The barrel is very smooth and shiny, but it does have moderate scratches, mostly under and around the lever. The section has some scratching. The cap has some fine scratches above the cap band. The cap band has one short area of plating wear on the lower edge. The clip has a bit of plating wear at the end. The clip is also a tad awry - listing toward the left just a bit. The imprints are crisp with white outlining still visible.
