Product Description
Type Vintage Fountain Pen
Product Name Conklin Endura
Manufacturer and Year Conklin, Toledo Ohio, mid-1920s
Length 5-5/16"
Filling System Lever filler. The pen has been restored by us and it works great. We'll guarantee the filling system for a year from the date of purchase.
Color Orange celluloid. There are some lines engraved around the barrel, and in the grooves these would have been colored blue. This blue lining is quite faded but some of it is still there.
Nib MEDIUM Conklin Toledo #7 nib is very large and has a bit of flex. See our writing sample in the photos. Note that there is a hairline crack, about 1/8" long and to the left of the breather hole. We have inspected and tested the nib, and the crack appears stable annd should not affect the performance of the pen. It does not touch the breather hole, so a bit of light flexing should be safe, but you will want to keep an eye on this. (We cannot give you a refund if you remove the nib.)
Condition Excellent condition. This is an over-sized pen, in a bright and shiny color, in a classic design pattern. The barrel and cap have light wear but no cracks or serious scratches. The lever has some plating wear along the edges. The clip has a spot of brassing near the top. Minimal brassing on the cap band. The cap has polishing marks and some pale dots near the top and to the left of the clip. The imprints are slightly worn down, but still clear and readable.
