Product Description
Type Lever filling vintage fountain pen, fully restored.
Product Name Endura (the imprint is clear on the barrel).
Manufacturer and Year Conklin, Toledo Ohio – this line of pens began circa 1924.
Length Just over 5-1/4" (oversized).
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Black and Bronze (black celluloid with chunks of bronze-colored material). There are some grooves around the barrel which were once colored a sort of orangy yellow, though almost all of the color is gone now.
Nib EXTRA FINE Gold nib marked Conklin Toledo U.S.A. Firm but smooth, with nice, appropriate tipping material. A little bit of the left edge of the nib looks like it has been shaved off (see photos), but this does not extend to the tipping, and does not have any affect on its writing.
Condition Excellent condition. There are some light scratches on the cap and barrel, especially on the end of the barrel as a result of posting the cap. There's one tiny sliver of brassing on the lower edge of the cap band, and one on the left side of the clip, but otherwise no plating wear of note. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, and no personalization. It's fully restored and working well.
