Product Description
Type Lever filling vintage fountain pen in excellent working condition
Product Name Conklin Endura (the imprint is readable)
Manufacturer and Year Conklin, Toledo Ohio - circa mid-1920s
Length Just barely over 4-3/8" including the ringtop hardwear
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored the filling system with a new sac, and fully tested it.
Color Blue lapis celluloid finish with gold plated trim. There are some lines engraved around the barrel, and in the grooves these have a suggestion of the original red paint.
Nib FLEXIBLE MEDIUM 14k Endura nib. It's in great condition, with nice tipping material and it feels very smooth to write with. Excellent flex and responsiveness, we're willing to call it full flex though it is not a wet noodle. See writing sample below
Condition Excellent condition, though there are some signs of use. There are a couple of tiny indents in the corner of the gold top piece on the cap, but otherwise no dents, dings, chips or cracks. The trim is in really nice condition, with just light microscratching and a tiny spot of brassing on either side of the end of the lever. There's just light handwear on the body of the pen. The color has dulled just a little, and looks just slightly stained toward a greenish blue where the cap covers the threads. Overall the pen is still looking quite attractive, and working well. Fully restored and working well, with a nib that is truly a pleasure to write with.
