Type Lever filling vintage fountain pen and mechanical pencil set
Product Name Endura Symetrik (marked on the fountain pen barrel). This is the early version of the Endura Symetrik, which retained the enamelled lines of the Endura on barrel and cap, and had the Endura nib.
Manufacturer and Year Conklin, Toledo Ohio – circa 1930s.
Length Fountain Pen and Mechanical Pencil: 5-3/16" We believe this is the standard size, but it might be the "large" size as we have not been able to find mesaurements. It's definitely not the oversize version, which is over 5-1/2" in length.
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well. The mechanical pencil takes 1.1mm leads. A packet of leads will be included.
Color Jade green with black veins, nd black enamelled grooves. Gold plated trim. The pen and pencil have two gold cap bands each. Edges are rounded on both pieces.
Nib FINE Semi-flex gold Endura nib. Please see writing sample.
Condition Superior condition with remarkably bright color. No cracks, chips, dents, or dings. The fountain pen has light wear only, mainly on the top of the cap, where there are some small scratches. The lever, cap bands, and cliip are beautiful. The mechanical pencil has light overall scratching but no major marks. The cone, clip and bands are excellent. The imprints on the fountain pen are clear.
