Product Description
Type Vintage mechanical pencil.
Product Name Conklin Symetrik, based off of shape and trim
Manufacturer and Year Conklin, USA -- 1920s
Length 5-11/16"
Filling System Takes 1.1mm (or "thick") leads which it extends via the traditional twist mechanism. The cone is a little loose in the barrel so you need to hold the cone closer to the barrel while twisting the cap to get the leads to extend and retract. .
Color Green marbled or jade pattern with black veins and gold filled trim. It has two bands near the cap and a dotted pattern at the top of the clip.
Condition User grade condition. The pen looks good at first glance but does show wear. The cap has a few cracks on it and there are a few dents on the cone. The barrel has no discernible imprint. We know it is a Conklin because the crescent on the cap is still intact. Because the pencil cone is loose, the pencil mechanism is a bit tricky to use. There are also teeth marks on the cone and some light scratches on the cap. The trim is brassed.
