Product Description
Type Vintage combo fountain pen and mechanical pencil.
Product Name Ensemble.
Manufacturer and Year Conklin, Toledo Ohio -- circa 1920s-30s.
Length Just under 5-3/4".
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well. The pencil side takes 1.1mm leads, which it extends via the traditional twist mechanism (you twist the cone to extend leads). We'll include a small packet of leads.
Color Marbled pattern of black and bronze with gold plated trim.
Nib FINE FLEXIBLE gold Toledo nib is smooth with nice tipping. It's not quite what we would call full flex, but it's more than semi-flex, with easy line variation from fine to a nice broad with very little pressure. See our writing sample below.
Condition Very nice condition. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, or personalization. It's fully restored and both the pen side and the pencil side are working well. There's some light scratching and some handwear on celluloid and plated trim. There's a little brassing on the edges of the lever, the lower barrel band, and the tip of the cone.
