Product Description
Type Vintage fountain pen and pencil combination in excellent working condition
Product Name It is marked "Ensemble" on the barrel, but you usually see the Ensemble pens with a plain cap band and lacking the embedded crescent, so we think this might have been part of the higher-end Endura line.
Manufacturer and Year Conklin, Toledo Ohio, 1920s-30s
Length 5-3/4"
Filling System Lever filler. We've replaced the sac and it works great.
Color Black marble with big chunks of bronze. Gold plated trim.
Nib Gold Conklin Toledo nib. Medium, full flex.
Condition Restored and ready to write. No cracks or chips, and there some brassing on the edges of the lower cap ring and on the top of the clip.
During our restoration, we pulled the nib and noted a crack. This crack is toward the base. and stops at the crescent, and since the nib is set deeply into the section it does not affect writing and will not get any worse, even when flexed. (See photo.)
The pencil works properly.
