Product Description
Type Lever filling vintage fountain pen
Product Name Probably the Glider model.
Manufacturer and Year Conklin, Chicago, 1939 to late 1940s
Length 5-1/16"
Filling System Lever filler. We've replaced the sac and tested the pen and it works great.
Color Striped grey and red. The grip section is black with a transparent ink window. The trim was lightly gold plated, but the plating is largely gone from everything but the cap band. We have yet to see one of these that wasn't worn in the exact same way!
Nib 14k gold Conklin Cushon Point nib. Fine, with some flex. Good tipping material in evidence.
Condition Very nice condition with good looking celluloid, but there is quite a bit of plating wear. The edge of the cap is slightly rough. The imprint is a bit worn but is mostly there. The feed is very bumpy (see photo), we're not sure what caused that, but it should not affect performance.
