Filling System Plunger filler patented by Conklin as the "Quick-Fill" system. We've replaced the seals and tested the system and it's working very well. The operation is similar to the one-stroke Sheaffer Vac-Fil system .... pull the plunger out all the way and put the pen in ink, then push the plunger down in one stroke.
Color Grey striated, alternating with translucent amber stripes. Nickel plated trim.
Nib Pen has a FINE 14k gold nib marked Conklin Toledo. Smooth and firm, with good tipping material. Pencil takes 1.1mm leads, which extend and retract by twisting the top half of the pencil.
Condition Excellent + condition. No cracks, chips, dents, or dings. The fountain pen has light handwear and scratching. The trim looks good, with minimal brassing. The barrel imprint is slightly worn, but still readable. The barrel has great clarity, so you'll easily be able to see the ink level. The pencil also looks great, with just a bit of pitting on the nose cone. Both pieces are working very well.
