Type vintage fountain pen in excellent working condition
Product Name Conklin Nozac Quick Fill (QF) Vest Pocket Pen. Uncommon model.
Manufacturer and Year Conklin, USA -- Circa 1934.
Length 4-1/2", this is the smallest of the three general sizes
Filling System Vacuum filler. This is a "quick fill" piston system. We've restored the filling system and it works great. The piston moves freely.
Color Alternating stripes of a semi-transparent red amber and solid stripes of red and gray pearl. It has a 3/32" cap band and black section and end piece. The trim is gold plated.
Nib Flexible Medium 14k Conklin Toldeo nib. It has a crescent breather hole and offers nice line variation. Please see the writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition. No cracks. There are a few teeth marks, shallow bites and scrapes, on the end of the barrel as well as a few small marks on the cap and barrel. The trim has held up well. The imprints are easily read. The barrel transparency is strong.
