Product Description
Type Power Filler Fountain Pen
Product Name Conklin Nozac Word Gauge #731/898
Manufacturer and Year Conklin, made in Italy -- Circa 2006
Length 5-3/4"
Filling System Power Filler System. It works like a plunger system. See Visconti's directions on how to use it. The filling system is a little finicky and while the plunger pulls out easily, it's very resistent to being pushed back in. It's not broken and isn't leaking.
Color A semi-transparent marble blue and red body with sterling trim.
Nib MEDIUM 14kt two tone nib. The nib says "Conklin USA" on it and was labeled M for medium.
Condition Excellent pre-owned condition. It is in a Conklin box, but it is not the original box. There is some light scratching on the cap and barrel. The trim has light wear. There are some flecks visible in the ink window, remnants of previous inkings, but no staining. The pen has excellent transparency and the imprints look great. The nib looks perfect. Note that the little white flecks that show in the pictures are actual silvery glitter particles.
The word gauge system uses the transparency of the barrel to approximate the number of words that can be written with the amount of ink with the pen.
Again, this is in a Conklin box, but it's not the original wooden limited edition box.
