Product Description
Type Lever filling vintage fountain pen
Product Name Ring top.
Manufacturer and Year Conklin, Toledo Ohio, 1930s
Length 4-3/8" with the ring-top hardware adding another 1/4 inch.
Filling System Lever filler, restored here at Peyton Street Pens.
Color BCHR with gold filled trim. "Double V" chasing pattern. The material is so fresh and the chasing so crisp, it's hard to believe it is not plastic, but according to our Conklin book these were all hard rubber.
Nib FINE semi-flex Conklin Endura gold nib, which is most certainly a replacement. Please see writing sample.
Condition Excellent + condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a dark black ring-top pen with strong chasing and lots of shine. The cap and barrel have light scratching. The barrel has marks caused by the cap lip. The section has surface blotches and one small scratch mark. The tiny lever has some small scratches. The cap band looks excellent with just microscratching. The ring top is in great condition. The imprints are clear.
