Product Description
Type Very small lever-filling, ringtop vintage fountain pen in great condition.
Product Name This is the "short" size .... there was actually a shorter pen called the "midget."
Manufacturer and Year Conklin, made in USA -- circa 1924. These lever fillers came after the crescent filler pens.
Length 3-3/4" and very slender
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Gold filled overlay over black hard rubber. The overlay has a checked pattern.
Nib FINE Conklin Toledo 14k gold nib is tiny, very smooth, and has nice tipping. No flex.
Condition Excellent + condition. No personalization and very little plating wear. The pattern looks great. The imprint is very clear. The lever bar has a tiny bit of brassing around the tab end. There is microscratching, but considering the age, this pen is in really great condition. No brassing on the cap or narrel. The front edge of the section, nearest the nib, is even and smooth. The imprint is slightly worn, but still easily readable. It's fully restored and working well.
