Product Description
Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen with a flexible nib.
Product Name It looks a little like the Symetrik, however we think it is one of the low-priced "Three-Fifty" models.
Manufacturer and Year Conklin, Toledo Ohio – 1920s-30s
Length 5-1/16"
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Lovely grey marbled color with black veins running through it and small flecks of red. Chrome plated trim with double cap bands.
Nib FLEXIBLE FINE gold Conklin #2 Toledo E nib with a heart shaped breather hole. It's smooth with nice tipping material. This nib is full flex, almost a wet noodle. Effortless line variation from fine to broad and double broad. See writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition. There's light scratching on the cap and a little on the barrel. There are just a few tiny scratches on the trim and a tiny dot of plating wear on either side of the clip's tip, as well as a tiny, very light indent on the upper cap band. The upper barrel where it's covered by the cap has discolored just slightly to a more tan hue. There's a small scratch on the section. No cracks or chips. The imprint is clear and readable. It's fully restored and working well.
The barrel has been engraved with a name, though the letters have started to wear away and are difficult to read (see photos).
