Product Description
Type Lever filling fountain pen.
Product Name Conway Stewart 15. They made a short and a long version of the model 15, and this is undoubtedly the short version.
Manufacturer and Year Conway Stewart, made in England -- 1952-63
Length 4-7/8"
Filling System Lever filler. We replaced the bladder and it is working well.
Color Deep Blue. The trim is silver/chrome-plated. The cap has a black jewel. The blue is like a navy. We're not sure of the material.
Nib 14k Broad nib. It has some give for potentially even wider strokes than the already broad nib. See the writing sample below. This nib is marked with a "Sun-Moon" imprint, but we're not exactly sure of its provenance.
Condition Very nice condition. No cracks or chips. Very little, if any, fading. There are a couple of scratches on the cap, and some tooth marks/dents on both cap and barrel, but none are very deep, just evidence of a previously loved pen. The material isn't shiny, it has fairly uniform microscratching all over, giving it kind of a hazy or matte look. The lever has some plating wear on its edges, as does the clip. The black cap jewel looks great. The imprint is very clear. It's really a nice little pen, with an understated elegance, working very well.
