Product Description
Type Lever filling fountain pen.
Product Name Conway Stewart 28
Manufacturer and Year Conway Stewart, made in England -- circa 1950s
Length Fountain pen 5-1/8"
Filling System Lever filler. We replaced the bladder and it is working well.
Color Tigers Eye -- Brown and black marble in a spiral design. The trim is gold plated. It has a black cap jewel.
Nib Flexible fine 14k CS nib. The nib has a good shape and writes smoothly. It flexes enough for line variation but isn't full flex. See the writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition. There's some plating wear on the trim. It's marginal on the clip with lots of brassing on the cap band and the lever. The imprint is still very crisp. The cap jewel looks good. There's some handwear on the pen and more noticeably, there are microscratches on the nib. It's a beautiful pen, working very well.
