Product Description
Type Fountain pen and mechanical pencil set.... made of casein, so don't soak it in water or it will melt!
Product Name Conway Stewart 570 aka "Dinkie".
Manufacturer and Year Conway Stewart UK -- 1960s. We've read that "Holder Foreign" imprint on the barrel was because the bodies were made in Germany and the nibs in England.
Length 4-3/8"
Filling System The pen fills via a lever. We replaced the bladder and it is working well, and we will guarantee the filling system for a year. Advance and retract the lead in the pencil by twisting the nose cone.
Color Purple pearly "Lumina" casein. The trim is gold plated.
Nib 14k Conway Stewart nib is medium and very smooth. Lots of tipping material.
Condition Excellent condition for this dainty set. No cracks, chips, dents, or dings. Pen: beautifully shiny with deep coloring. The barrel and cap have light scratching. The clip has lost most of the plating, but it's still nice and tight on the pen. The cap ring has some brassing. The imprints are slightly worn, but still nicely legible. Pencil: deep coloring and very shiny. The clip is nice and tight, and only shows a little plating loss. The band around the middle is in great shape, with no brassing. Nose cone has a bit of wear, but is in overall good shape. Imprints look great.
