Filling System Button filler. We've replaced it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Completely covered in a layer of gold filled metal, under that there is no doubt black hard rubber barrel and cap. Gold fill overlay is etched in an alternating pattern of pinstripes and a wavy chased pattern.
Nib FINE #2 gold nib. No flex.
Condition Excellent + with no cracks or chips. This is a dainty, gorgeous pen with a delightful gold filled overlay pattern. The cap, barrel, and trim look fantastic. The barrel is personalized with the name "Marge" in script. The lip of the cap has some tiny dents, but is largely smooth and even. The top of the cap has a bit of plating wear around the edge and there is some pitting on the top of the cap under the u-ring that holds the ring. The ringtop hardware is in good shape, and includes a removable hook with a piece probably intended for a ribbon. The blind cap has some brassing on the end. No real dents or dings anywhere, or major scratching. The imprints on the cap band are clear.
