Product Description
Type Vintage lever-filling fountain pen with a flexible nib.
Product Name The Broadway
Manufacturer and Year Unknown, probably from the 1920s. The barrel is imprinted with "The Broadway", and aside from the nib that's the only marking on the pen. The nib is marked "14 Kt" which is more commonly used in Europe than in the USA.
Length 5-1/16".
Filling System Lever filler. We've installed a new sac and tested it and it's working very well.
Color Black chased hard rubber with a wavy pattern. Silver colored trim, likely nickel-plated.
Nib FLEXIBLE FINE Warranted #2 14k nib is smooth with nice tipping material remaining. It has very strong line variation, from extra fine to broad, and we are calling this full flex. See writing sample below.
Condition Superior condition. It is very black with only slight discoloration and has very well defined patterning. Slight roughness on the clip, especially the "high-traffic" areas - top edge, ball end. No cracks, chips, or personalization.
