Product Description
Type Fountain pen
Product Name Wahl Pen. Not sure if this particular pen series had a name. It resembles model 7212C in the 1928-9 catalog. It was a mid-range model, marketed to students.
Manufacturer and Year Wahl Eversharp, USA - late 1920s or early 1930s-40s
Length 5-5/16"
Filling System Lever-filler. We have restored it and it's working very well.
Color Very striking green marble. The trim is gold plated, however the plating is partly worn off. There is some uneven darkening of the material throughout.
Nib FINE "Wahl Pen 2" nib, with a cursive italic grind. We don't think this is a factory original italic, the work was done later. Smooth, and the italic grind makes it fun to write with. Please see our writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition. The color is somewhat uneven, but it's still quite interesting with good contrast between the green and whites. The top of the clip has worn plating, and the sides are also a bit rough. The letters "B.W." have been scratched faintly into the top of the cap. The imprints are really good, and you can still see the paint in the letters. The section has lightened somewhat to a dark brown. Lever bar has brassing along the sides. No cracks or chips.
