Product Description
Type Safety pen
Product Name 42 (marked on the end of the barrel)
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, USA - 1920s.
Length 4-11/16" long.
Filling System Safety filler (restored and tested, with new seals). We will send instructions on how to use a safety pen.
Color Black chased hard rubber. No clip, but holes in the cap indicating where one was once attached.
Nib FLEXIBLE FINE Waterman's Ideal nib. Good line variation, from a fine to broad. See writing sample.
Condition Very nice condition. The outer surface has a lot of fading, to a deep greenish brown, but the faded color is fairly even. Although the chasing is largely smoothed down, you can still see the pattern from both the texture and the color. There are two vertical holes on the cap where a clip previously attached. The imprint on the barrel is a bit worn, but still fairly easy to read. The safety mechanism is working very well.
