Product Description
Type Vintage pen which works beautifully
Product Name Model 52 (marked on the end of the pen barrel)
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, CANADA - circa 1920s
Length 5-3/8"
Filling System Lever filler. We installed a new sac and it works very well.
Color Red and black woodgrain hard rubber with gold plated trim ... the section looks more like the red ripple pattern than the woodgrain.
Nib FINE flexible nib is marked "Waterman's IDEAL 14k Canada". It's got nice tipping and is smooth. We've got a writing sample below showing the range of line width that we got with it, going from fine or medium-fine to a nice thick double broad.
Condition Excellent condition. There's brassing on all of the trim - clip, cap band, and lever. The barrel imprint is mostly smoothed out, but under magnification you can still glimpse it. The model number, marked on the end of the barrel, is visible. Overall the look of the pen is quite smooth and shiny. No cracks, chips, or tooth marks. The color is excellent. It's a beautiful piece, fully restored and working very well.
