Product Description
Type Combination Fountain Pen and Mechanical Pencil (all-in-one).
Product Name Pen-Pencil (imprinted on the barrel). A fairly rare model.
Manufacturer and Year Crocker, Boston, MA, 1930s
Length 5-3/8" without the ring-top
Filling System Lever filler. The pencil takes 1.1mm leads. A packet of leads will be included.
Color Dark blue with gold plated trim. Black section.
Nib FINE flexible Crocker Boston #3 nib. There's a crack in the nib that runs from the "O" in Boston down into the section, and a crack from the "O" in Crocker to the breather hole -- which can be seen in our photos. Please see writing sample. Caution should be taken not to overflex the nib and worsen these cracks.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks in the plastic, no chips, dents, or dings. The only real flaw is the nib which has two cracks as decsribed above. This is a unique pen/pencil all-in-one combination that is very shiny and deeply colored. There are marks on the barrel caused by the cap lip and the entire piece has long, thin scratch marks. These marks are difficult to see because of the deep, dark coloration of the pen. The cone is excellent. The cap band and ring top are perfect. The lever looks great. The imprint is clear.
