Product Name Doltevita Oro, this is the "Piston Fountain Pen Vermeil Trim" version with product ID number DV80135 and MSRP of $695. It bears an imprint of #0229 but is not a limited edition pen.
Manufacturer and Year Delta, Italy -- 2010s.
Length 5-9/16" and fat, we consider this an oversize pen but it is not the most oversize pen in this line.
Filling System Piston filling system. The knob makes a clicking noise when the piston seal reaches the top to inform users that it is fully retracted.
Color Bright cracked ice resin. It is a golden orange called, "oro" or gold. Dolcevita pens usually have black resin caps and this golden resin is used only for the barrel. This is the all gold version. The trim is gold plated including the cap band which is sterling with gold plating, vermeil.
Nib MEDIUM 14k nib. it is very smooth and marked M on the side of the nib. The nib is not springy at all.
Condition Near Mint condition. The pen has no handwear and the gold plating looks perfect. The vermeil cap band has one area with minor marks on it. There is one mark on the section that you can feel with your nail and it is slightly discolored. The pen ships in its box with paperwork and a bottle of Delta ink. No cracks or chips. The piston works well. There's small amounts of the resin that are discolored, as yellow stains easily, but it's not particularly noticeable.
