Product Description
Type Fountain Pen in original pen case
Product Name Unknown
Manufacturer and Year Dunhill, Germany -- 1980s. (Dunhill itself is a company based in the UK, but it was bought by a German holding company in the 1980s and Montblanc began making their pens. This pen has "Germany" on it.)
Length 5-1/4"
Filling System Built-in filling system. The piston "converter" installed in the pen cannot be removed. We are categorizing this pen as a piston filler.
Color Gold plated cap and barrel with a pinstripe pattern. It is labeled, "rolled gold" for the technique used for the plating. The pen has a black section. The original sticker is on the section, marked 16, B.
Nib 14k Broad nib. The nib is unlabeled and we didn't remove the nib to verify whether or not it has a 14k imprint, but it's springy and is not from the era that Montblanc made steel nibs. All of our other Dunhill fountain pens from the 1980s have had 14k nibs as well.
Condition New old stock with some marks picked up in storage. Excellent condition. The section has some scratch marks, especially toward the bottom and along the right side of the label. Tht barrel has microscratching and some small dots of plating wear here and there (not major). The cap and clip have only light microscratching. The top of the cap has some scratch marks. The end of the pen has only light microscratching. The pen is sleek and shiny.
