Product Description
Type Fountain Pen in original hard-sided pen case.
Product Name Unknown
Manufacturer and Year Dunhill, Germany -- 1980s. (Dunhill itself is a company based in the UK, but it was bought by a German holding company in the 1980s and Montblanc began making their pens. This pen has "Germany" on it.)
Length 5-1/4"
Filling System It takes international cartridges and converters. A converter is installed.
Color Silver plated cap and barrel with a pinstripe pattern. The pen has a black section. (We are assuming this is plated and not solid sterling silver because of the lack of any hallmarks.)
Nib 14k Medium nib. The nib is unlabeled and we didn't remove the nib to verify whether or not it has a 14k imprint, but it's springy and is not from the era that Montblanc made steel nibs. All of our other Dunhill fountain pens from the 1980s have had 14k nibs as well.
Condition New old stock with some shop wear. Superior condition. The trim ring of the pen, where the cap sits, is lightly scratched due to capping. The barrel has only light microscratches. The section is very clean. The cap has only some light microscratching. The clip is pristine. The pen is in the original hard-sided black pen case with red silk lining. This is a sleek, shiny, elegant pen.
