Product Description
Type Fountain Pen
Product Name Unknown
Manufacturer and Year Dunhill, Germany -- 1980s. (Dunhill itself is a company based in the UK, but it was bought by a German holding company in the 1980s and Montblanc began making their pens. This pen has "Germany" on it.)
Length 5-1/4"
Filling System It looks like it takes international cartridges and converters, but it doesn't. The piston "converter" installed in the pen cannot be removed. We are categorizing this pen as a piston filler.
Color Gold plated cap and barrel with a pinstripe pattern. It is labeled, "rolled gold" for the technique used for the plating. The pen has a black section.
Nib 14k Medium nib. The nib is unlabeled and we didn't remove the nib to verify whether or not it has a 14k imprint, but it's springy and is not from the era that Montblanc made steel nibs. All of our other Dunhill fountain pens from the 1980s have had 14k nibs as well.
Condition Superior condition. There is some brassing on the sides of the clip that keep it from being perfect but the imprints and patterning are excellent. The barrel has only light handwear and no major scratches, dents, or other marks.
