Product Description
Type Pump filling fountain pen
Product Name Name unknown. Not a Dreadnaught, as they had two-part caps. It might be a Camel, it seems to be the same length, but they are usually distinguished by a nib that says "Camel."
Manufacturer and Year Dunn, USA, 1921-4
Length 5-13/16"
Filling System DUNN's famous pump system, restored here at PSP with a new cork seal.
Color Smooth black hard rubber, with an orange pump handle. (We're not sure if this is one of the original plastic knobs, or a modern replacement. It doesn't seem to be hard rubber or casein, two known materials used for this part.) Gold filled band clip and 1/2" wide band.
Nib FINE 14k DUNN-PEN nib. Firm, no flex or line variation.
Condition Excellent + condition. The color is still quite dark for the black hard rubber. There is light scratching and wear on the cap and barrel, but there are no cracks or chips. The orange knob is excellent with no cracks. The gold cap band has scratching and some scuffs, but no dents or dings, and the plating is intact. The clip has plating wear along the sides, and brassing around the ball end. The imprints are clear.
