Product Description
Type Lever filling fountain pen, restored and working well.
Product Name Unknown.
Manufacturer and Year We think this is probably an Eclipse, as it has the rounded lever box and the wreath on the lever end. Probably late 1920s or early '30s (based on the style).
Length 4-1/8 inches, not including the ringtop hardware.
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Black celluloid barrel and cap in a pattern of lines with a gold plated top-piece.
Nib FLEXIBLE Warranted #4 nib marked 14k. It's quite smooth, but original tipping is all gone (the shape nib shape likely came from use, not a professional cut). Despite the lack of tipping material, it writes nicely. It's close to what we would call fully flexible, with easy line variation from a medium line to a broad or double broad under light presure. See our writing sample below.
Condition Very nice condition. No cracks or chips, dings, dents, or personalization. There's some lesser brassing on the corner of the top-piece, and on the lever box. There are small scratches on the cap and barrel, but the line patterning is still nice. We've restored the pen and it's working very well.
