Product Description
Type Modern custom fountain pen
Product Name Herald, it is similar to the Nouveau Premiere but is shorter and less pointed. Edison Pens made a comparison photo of the two pens. They also included a detailed text breakdown of the differences in the same thread. The easiest way to identify the pen, though, is by the clip.
Manufacturer and Year Edison Pen Company, USA -- 2009. This model joined the production line in 2012, but it's no longer part of it.
Length 5-13/16" capped (they make a larger version of this pen called the Grand Herald, but this is the standard size).
Filling System Takes international cartridges and converters. A piston converter is installed.
Color Yellow acrylic. Gold colored trim.
Nib Medium 14k nib. Edison tends to tune their nibs to be wet writers so it might not write as finely as expected. We were told this was a Bock nib, and it appears to be the full Bock nib unit including the housing .... a standard Edison nib is JoWo compatible, but this is not -- just an FYI in case you were planning on swapping nibs.
Condition Near mint condition. The clip looks great and the acrylic has pretty much no handwear. The imprint is also clear. No ink stains.
