Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen.
Product Name Deluxe SM (the earlier version with the friction fit cap).
Manufacturer and Year Esterbrook, made in USA - circa 1949-55.
Length Just a hair over 5-1/16.
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new bladder and it's working very well.
Color Greyish green, like sage, with a brushed steel cap and chrome plated trim. The section is a lighter shade, and jewels match the color of the section.
Nib FIRM BROAD #9968 nib. It's nice and smooth. Quite firm.
Condition Excellent condition. There are a few very light scratches and marks on the cap and barrel. There's just very light handwear on the trim. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, or personalization. The imprint is slightly worn, but still quite legible. Fully restored and working well.
Note: The cap is friction-fit, and you'll want to be careful not to jam it on too hard, or it's REALLY hard to remove. Push the cap in just enough to engage the clutch ring, and stop.
