Product Description
Type Vintage fountain pen
Product Name Esterbrook Pastels, First Generation (the jewels are black)
Manufacturer and Year Esterbrook, USA - 1954-57
Length 4-3/8" long
Filling System The pen is a lever filler, which we have restored with a new sac. It's working great.
Color Light blue with chrome trim and black end jewels.
Nib #1551 firm medium (student) nib. It's in great condition, fairly smooth.
Condition Superior condition with no cracks, chips, dents or dings. This is a dainty pen in a nice color. The barrel has microscratching. The lever looks great. One of the cap threads has some peeling or flaking. The cap, cap band, clip and end jewels are lovely. The imprint is clear.
The Purse/Pastel pens and pencils were made with a more fragile plastic than other Esterbrook pens, and it's common to find cracks in the cap lips, but there are none here. Because of this, we suggest that you do not post this pen, or use extreme caution in doing so.
