Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen.
Product Name Pastels, First Generation (the jewels are black). This was a part of the J series.
Manufacturer and Year Esterbrook, made in USA - 1954-57.
Length 4-3/8".
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Pink with chrome trim and black end jewels.
Nib FIRM MEDIUM #1551 nib. Very smooth with a nice Renew Point.
Condition Excellent condition. Light handwear and microscratching, but no major scratches. No staining on the cap or barrel, or barrel threads. The trim looks really good, no brassing or serious wear. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, or personalization. The imprint is slightly worn but very visible. Fully restored and working well.
The Purse/Pastel pens and pencils were made with a more fragile plastic than other Esterbrook pens, and it's common to find cracks in the cap lips, but there are none here. Because of this, we suggest that you do not post this pen, or use extreme caution in doing so.
