Type Lever filling fountain pen, restored and working well.
Product Name J Series, Transitional J with the flat ended barrel. This is a Demi SJ sized pen.
Manufacturer and Year Esterbrook, made in USA -- later 1940s.
Length 4-5/8 inches.
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Blue with steel trim and a black cap jewel. with chrome trim. The cap jewel is circular, not ridged, and the clip is marked Esterbrook, making this a later transitional pen.
Nib FINE FIRM #9556 steel nib is smooth with nice iridium tipping. (The 9000 series Master Point nibs has more/better tipping and were more expensive.)
Condition Very nice condition. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, personalization, or plating wear. There's some scratching and wear on the cap and barrel and scratches on the trim. The pen has been fully restored and it's working very well.
